Semi-final triumph:
Stephen Pearson: We gave ourselves a good chance in the first leg, but in football
anything can happen and I think that proved to be the case in the second leg. It was a
very eventful game, Chennaiyin played very well and put us under pressure. I think
sending of their played changed the game, then it was 10 against 10. We grew confident
with belief and got the goal in the end.
The crucial goal:
Stephen Pearson: I was trying to get into the box and I managed to get a nice touch.
Got a little bit lucky. It fell right in the path for me and I managed to score the goal and we went to the final.
Record against Atletico:
Stephen Pearson: We are undefeated against them so far but it doesn't matter when you come to a cup final, it's a one off game. We've prepared well and we're confident and hopefully we can do the job.
Atletico's threat:
Stephen Pearson: They are a physical side, but also very technical - it's a very good side. So we have to win the battle and play well as well.
ISL so far:
Stephen Pearson: I think as a whole it's been a great spectacle to watch. The fans who've watched the games have had their money worth. Hopefully we can put on a show in the final.
Ending the season on a high:
Stephen Pearson: We managed to get here. It's been a roller coaster up and down and we didn't start the season to great. But we still had confidence and belief in ourselves and that's what kept it going. I came out here to play football and utlimately you want to win.
