Luis García: The first time I heard about the Indian Super League I started
checking on the internet to see what I was going to find over there. Then I
saw that players like Freddie Ljungberg, Materazzi, and many big names
that was going to join - so that made me to also think about it and say yes
to this adventure.
Luis García: I have never been scared to take a challenge like this before. I
never thought about going to Mexico when I was younger, and I have been
there for two and a half year and I've enjoyed it, the passion that is living
there, and I think it's the same in India. Of course, cricket is the most
important sport over there but I've heard there are many passionate
football supporters there and we are gonne enjoyt this kind of support. Of course it's gonna be a big and huge league.
Luis García: Everything seems positive. I spoke to some friends of mine, and they would love to go to India on holiday. So I get the chance to do my job, enjoy what I love. I'm gonna be there with people that are passionate about football, that will support us every moment. I'm gonna be in a country that will give us everything, enjoy a new culture, Indian food, new people and yeah, of course I'm looking forward to score goals. I think that's what the supporters expect from me.
Luis García: Maybe the Indian players have some lack of basics like movement, concentration in the game, so I think it's veyr important for us to help them. For them they came here looking for that - to improve.
Luis García: The most imporant thing is to be who you are and not change anything. Lke you said, I've played with a lot of important players and I learned from them. My part now is to try to teach the things that I learned from them. I've seen players who have the quality and mentality to play in a big team here in Europe. No one is looking to this side in the world to look for football players. Now, this league is gonna explode the passion of football. Many, many players are gonna want to come here.
Luis García: Of course we have a lot of pressure. We now that Kolkata has a lot of supporters so that is a lot of pressure also. We would like to play the final.
