JOFRE

PRE-ISL
Jofre was a product of FC Barcelona's prolific youth system. He made his first-team debut on 15 May 1998 (the last round of the season), scoring as a substitute in a 1–4 home loss against UD Salamanca. Playing mainly with the B-team, he only amassed one more appearance with the main squad, four years later.
In 2002 Jofre joined second division's Levante UD, being instrumental in the club's 2004 promotion to La Liga and appearing in 27 league games in the following campaign, which ended in relegation.
After an unsuccessfull spell with Espanyol in 2005-06, he joined Murcia contributing
with three league goals to another top flight promotion.
2007-08 was the last year that Jofre played in the top division. From 2008-2014 Jofre played in the Segunda, representing Rayo Vallecano, Valladolid and Girona. All in all Jofre scored 35 goals during his years in Spain.
ISL
2014 Season
Jofre was chosen as Atletico de Kolkata's second choice during the Inaugural
International Draft on August 21, 2014. He became one of many Spanish players
in the club, and was said to bring strong passing qualities to the team.
Jofre described the fact that to leave Spain for the first time in his career as a
decisive factor to his decision. "Going to a league which is brand new, and
being a part of one of the teams aspiring to win the title, is a nice challenge.
And having to promote football in India is another added responsibility. We
have to contribute and it’s something that I like."
When the league started Jofre became an important part of Kolkata's
squad and played as a left winger. In the opening game against Mumbai
City on October 12, 2014, Jofre assisted Firku on the first-ever Indian Super League goal. On October 19 he scored a penalty against Delhi Dynamos, and thus his first goal in Atletico de Kolkata.
Against Chennaiyin FC on November 4, 2014, he was sent off after being shown two yellow cards. Atletico de Kolkata appealed against Jofre's suspension as they found that the decision of showing the second yellow card was wrong. However, AIFF shot down Kolkata's request and stated that the red cardwas right and proper.
Jofre played twelve matches for Kolkata and started nine. In the penalty shootout against FC Goa in the semifinals he was one of four Kolkata players who scored their penalty.
In the final win over Kerala Blasters, Jofre along with Luis Garcia, sat on the bench throughout the match.
After the season ended, Jofre expressed that he had only positive memories from his debut season in India. "My experience in ATK, in the first season, couldn't have been better. I enjoyed all like a child. The city, their people, the environment of the tournament. It was my first experience in my profession outside Spain and I guess it was one of the best decisions I'd taken in my life."
2015 Season
On June 22, 2015, it was announced that he would play in the second season of the ISL with his new club FC Goa. The Spanish veteran claimed that he was eager to work under Zico and play in India, but was slightly disappointed with Atletico de Kolkata not retaining him.
"The reason I decided to join Goa was pure interest. I was waiting for ATK, for a long time, because I thought they want me for this second edition. But I had Goa's proposal and I didn't want to lose my chance to come back to India. The two games in Goa last year was amazing as well, so it wasn't difficult to decide."
