BASILIO AGUDO

PRE-ISL
Basilio Agudo was born 1984 and played his younger days in Atletico Madrid's academy, and played for both the B and the C team. However, he never got into the first team and was sold in 2006 to CD Cobeña in Segunda División B. The club was disbanded after the season because of financial problems and Basilio ended up in Getafes B-team.
Like his time in Atletico Madrid, Agundo never settled into the A-team. After two years of groping in the B team he went to CF Fuenlabrada in Tercera División. Here, Agundo managed to finally settle and stayed in the club for a full five years. He became an important player for the club and was selected captain
during his last seasons.
ISL
On July 16, Fuenlabrada announced on its website that Agudo would not extend his contract. Basilio expressed his desire for a new challenge. He was chosen by Atletico de Kolkata as one of the two foreign players chosen outside of the draft, and thus became one of six Spanish players in the squad. In addition to Luis Garcia, Agudo was the only player in the Kolkata-squad who actually had belonged to Atletico Madrid earlier in his career.
The goalie competition became too tough for Agudo. With both local keeper Subhasish Roy Chowdhury and former PSG-keeper Apoula Edel, Agudo never got to make an apperance for Atlético de Kolkata. As a matter of fact, he never even sat on the bench. For Agudo, his ISL-era was something of a letdown, being the third choice the entire season.
POST-ISL
On December 31, 2014, Agudo returned to Spain when he signed for Trival Valderas in Segunda División B.
